Lately, I’ve found myself reflecting on this past year at The Holly Blossom Tea Room and if I’m being completely truthful, sometimes it brings tears to my eyes. 🌸🫖
This little place was once simply a dream in my heart. And now, a year later, I get to stand in these rooms and watch all of you enjoy it. I don’t know that I will ever have the right words to explain what that feels like.
The kindness you show us is overwhelming sometimes. You go on and on about how enchanting the rooms are. You notice the tiniest details: the china, the flowers, the little treasures tucked into every corner. You tell me how much you love the teas, the food and the whole experience. And one of the things I hear over and over again is, “I’m just so grateful we have something like this in Jonesboro.”
Those words get me every single time.
I try my very best to speak to every guest who comes for afternoon tea. I want to hear which tea you loved, what little detail caught your eye, what made you smile and most importantly, I want you to know how genuinely grateful I am that you are here.
Because the truth is, we can make the rooms beautiful. We can set the tables with lovely china, brew wonderful teas and fuss over every tiny detail but YOU are what makes The Holly Blossom what it is.
You bring the laughter. You bring the celebrations. You bring your mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers and best friends. You celebrate birthdays, bridal showers and milestones here. And sometimes you come for no reason at all other than to spend a beautiful afternoon together.
You have taken my little dream world and filled it with memories.
So as I look back over this first year, my heart is just incredibly full. Thank you for every kind word. Thank you for noticing the details. Thank you for telling your friends. Thank you for taking pictures. Thank you for coming back. And thank you for loving this little place right along with me.
The Holly Blossom may have started as my dream but you all are the ones who made it what it is. 🌸
And for that, I will be forever grateful. 🫖💕
