PLEASE HELP US! WE NEED A FOSTER WITH NO CATS!

We are at a loss right now and this is yet another cry for help....

Another one of our cats, Kodiak, is currently at Somerset Veterinary Hospital and they just called to say that he needs 24/7 care, hospitalization, or euthanasia. We do not have the funds to keep another animal in the hospital and we most definitely WILL NOT resort to euthanasia. So, that leaves us needing a foster that will be able to:

- Give him fluids
- Syringe feed him
- Administer his medications
- Provide him with a heating pad
- Will be able to closely monitor him

We will supply you with absolutely everything you need - including education on how to provide the care needed, a kennel, blankets, heating pads, food, syringes, medications, and anything else that might be needed. Can you can provide Kodiak with the love, care, and support he really needs right now?

Unfortunately, for his own safety and well-being, Chippy was brought back to the shelter at the beginning of May. This sweet boy needs time to adjust to new surroundings, and he needs an attentive adopter who is willing to be patient and help him fit in at his new home.

Chippy is just a unique older gentleman with lots of love to give. At 9 years old, Chippy still has some pep in his step every once in a while. He loves to get outside with our volunteers for walks and walks very easily on the leash. Due to a previous leg injury (prior to Chippy's first arrival at HSCC) Chippy might tire out a lot easier than your average dog. That's where the comfy dog bed comes in handy. Chippy loves to relax when he's not walking.

Chippy gets easily excited over some of his toys (and treats). He gets the wiggles and jumps of a little kid in a candy store and there's no stopping him (unless you give him the toy/treat). Chippy is a very easy-going guy, and it doesn't take much to please him.

Chippy at one time lived with other animals, but since being at the shelter, he's become a little more selective, especially with dogs. That doesn't mean he couldn't co-exist peacefully with other dogs. It just means, if the initial meeting at HSCC goes well, the slow introductions and boundaries must be adhered to at home as well until Chippy (and the other furry friend) has adjusted fully.
