WOW 🤎 What a welcome!

The paper is down, the doors are open, and getting to welcome you into The Bean Market has been even more special than we imagined. Your kind words, feedback, and time spent with us in the last two days have meant so much. We’re incredibly grateful and can’t wait to welcome even more of you!

And tomorrow, it’s official! We’re celebrating our grand opening all day, and we’d love for you to stop by, grab a cup of something yummy, browse the Market, and celebrate with us.

Beginning tomorrow, our hours are:

We can’t wait to share with you how The Bean Market brings together old and new.
You’ll see top-of-the-line cafe equipment at home on antique general store counters, vintage finds throughout the shop, and black-and-white photographs that honor Ashe County’s green bean industry and agriculture.
We want the Market to feel fresh and welcoming, while recognizing the people, places, and traditions that helped shape this community and us.

Something new is brewing in downtown Jefferson, and its name has deep Ashe County roots.

The Bean Market Coffee & More is a coffee shop and curated gift market opening soon. The name plays on coffee beans, while also honoring Ashe County’s agricultural history.

Years ago, local bean markets connected Ashe County farmers with vegetable canneries and brokers from across the state and region. Green beans were one of the county’s first major cash crops, long before Christmas trees became the crop many people associate with our area today.

As a family with farming roots, we wanted to create a place that celebrates that heritage while offering something fresh for today: quality coffee, thoughtful gifts, and a warm, welcoming space in which to gather.
