I have a confession. I am the duck thief, of duckgate. (If ya know, ya know) I DID IT. I stole those ducks.
Those birds lived the rest of their whole lives on a beautiful farm, unable to properly walk or spread their wings fully, due to the tiny metal enclosure that they grew up in. It was over 100 degrees the day I rescued them
I'd do it again... Don't mistreat animals. Or maybe some crazy girl will steal them in the middle of the night.
Also if you're ever in Bentonville AR, eat at Senor Shreddys, a food truck, at the local brewery with only 240 something likes on Facebook (people not be understanding how special it is)
Everything from bean to burrito is carefully thought out in regard to flavor and the melding of the dishes. It's only the second time chef approved the birria in many years of ordering. They didn't serve it with a dipping sauce "because his father didn't believe in that trend"? And because the meat was so rich, it wasn't needed is what they said.
I giggled a little when he said that...thinking of the care taken with Chef's broth.
And then I giggled again, swallowing my nieveity when I took the first bite. Stupid delicious.
You all know what a maniac chef was about the birria. He went and looked at bones individually, soaked the spices and peppers, it took days to make the bone broth. The sh*t was so ridiculously rich that it really deserved a four star restaurant vs the counter you ordered at.
And he LOVED Senor Shreddys. That's really saying something.
I had the chile relleno burrito and it was so big I ate it all the way home. They roll the burritos perfectly so you can easily stand them up and talk about how delicious they are.
I took a short break, but otherwise I pretty much ate my burrito all the way home, moaning the whole drive.Though, if I had it to do again, I would have ordered a birria burrito.
