Update: they turned out pretty good! Probably good use more oatmeal and brown sugar next time, otherwise, they're tasty!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY to all my American friends! Today, I am experimenting a little bit. My husband, Bill, requested oatmeal craisin cookies for our family get-together today. I don't technically have a recipe for this, so I started thinking of what I would do. I decided to use my tried and true chocolate chip cookie recipe from grandma as my base and go from there.

Well, if I'm using a chocolate chip cookie recipe, then I need to add chips. I asked Bill if I could add white chocolate chips, and he thought that was a great idea. Since I've got the red and the white now, how do I add blue? I went through my new batch of sprinkles (gifted to me by the one and only Cupcake Alchemist ) and found some blue sugar crystals. I sprinkled in enough until I could see them throughout the dough, and then added the oatmeal. From there, I'm just treating them like my normal cookie recipe.

First tray is in the oven! Two more to go. I was able to get 36 cookies out of this recipe, so hopefully people like them, lol.
