Hey everyone, it’s with a heavy heart that we share this news from our friends and fellow food family, Taco Bros TN

As some of you may have already heard, they experienced a devastating fire at their restaurant. This is heartbreaking news, and our thoughts are with Jesus and the entire Taco Bros team during this difficult time.

We have a special connection to the Taco Bros – we both got our start right here in Tennessee with food trucks. We understand the hustle, the long days, and the passion that goes into building a food business. Seeing something so special facing such a major challenge is hard for all of us.

But we know the Taco Bros are resilient, just like this community! They built Taco Bros from the ground up, and we want to help them get back on their feet. Their post mentions they’re hoping to at least start back up with a food truck, and we want to do everything we can to support that.

How you can help:

Please consider donating to their fundraiser. Any amount, big or small, will make a real difference in helping them replace what was lost and figure out their next steps. You can find the link to their GoFundMe below or through their social media pages.

SHARE THIS POST. If you’re not able to donate, simply sharing their story and fundraising link will reach more people and show that the community stands behind them.

Let’s rally together for Taco Bros TN! Let's help them rebuild, one taco at a time.

If you have never taken a trip out to Creekside Brewing Co, you are missing out on a serious hidden gem. In our opinion, this is the best craft BBQ on the Cumberland Plateau. I can't personally speak on the brew since I don't drink, but I have never heard a single bad thing about it.

Beyond the food, the humans that own and operate this place are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. We need to give credit where credit is due: Eric and Rashaell were a major motivational factor in us opening our own food truck.

Coming from Arizona in 2021 and having family in Texas, we grew up knowing what good BBQ is. We were looking for that familiar texture and flavor from back home, and from the moment we met Eric and Rashaell, we instantly became friends. We shared a common love for great food, and with them also being from Arizona, it was easy to see we were going to get along.

They even invited me to help out when they set up for the Taste of Crossville event, which I really believe was what helped put them on the map. Watching them grow from that moment to where they are now is nothing short of impressive. Even though they run a small operation on 127S almost to the Bledsoe County line, they bring huge flavors and even bigger hearts. People always find them, and they sell out almost every single day they are open.

Aside from the incredible smoked meats, they also do limited batches of desserts, including their famous Giant Big as your Face cookie that you absolutely have to try.

We don't get out there as often as we should, but if you want some of the absolute best BBQ and sweet treats in the area, you need to go check them out. They have covered seating outside as well as limited seating inside, so even on days with weather like today, it is well worth the drive.

Make sure you follow their page for daily menu updates, and keep their hours in mind:

Thursday: 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Limited Menu)

Friday and Saturday: Noon to 8:00 PM

Sunday: Noon to 6:00 PM

Get out there early before they sell out. If you happen to miss out on the food, stay for a brew anyway, which gives you the perfect reason to head back next time.

Be hungry, be patient, and be prepared for some dang good BBQ.

I am planning to use this page to start highlighting the local businesses and eateries that make our community what it is. To get things started, I want to talk about Peavine Floral

If you are looking for flowers, this is the business to call. With Mother’s Day and Graduation season coming up, they can help you get exactly what you need. They handle everything from weddings and birthdays to those special occasions where you want to do something nice for someone.

They also handle funeral arrangements with a lot of care and respect. That is the kind of personal service you only get from a local business that actually cares about the people in this town.

Supporting our local small businesses is what keeps our community going. Whether you are celebrating a big milestone or need something for a difficult time, reach out to Peavine Floral. The work is top notch and the service is great.

Make sure to give the page a follow for updates and let them know you saw it on The Roadside Table.

Some know, some don’t — I’m Sarah, and I am so excited to share that I’m taking over Peavine Floral! 🪻🌸🌷

I’ll be working alongside the previous owner this week for Mother’s Day as her last hoorah before retirement! 🤸

I was born and raised right here in our little town of Crossville, and I can’t wait to become part of the local business community we have here.

Thank you for being here, supporting me, and cheering me on as I navigate this new chapter. It truly means so much!

I’m so excited to create beautiful things for you and your loved ones. 💐

We had the pleasure of being the very first customers for Udderly Twisted Soft Serve today. We first met this couple over at Swing On Brewing Company . She would be inside selling her crafts and he would always come out to chat with me. When he mentioned his idea for a soft serve truck, I knew it would be a hit.

Once we found out they were going to be in town, we had to show up for them. Of course, with every first day, there are things that need to be worked out. If anyone understands that, it is definitely us.

We both got the vanilla soft serve in a cup. Mine had chocolate Ghirardelli syrup and crushed Oreos. Liane went with the caramel Ghirardelli syrup and toasted coconut. Both were very delicious and, as you can see in the photos, they were loaded.

Do yourself a favor and follow their page. Make sure you catch them when they are set up!
