🎤 Open Mic Night at Ula! 🎤

We're hosting a fundraiser open mic on Saturday, April 18th from 6–8pm in support of the East Boston Crisis Response Fund, a community-led nonprofit that distributes emergency funds to East Boston residents in need.

All acts welcome. Come perform, come listen, or just come hang. Our full food and beverage menu will be available all evening.

The East Boston Crisis Response Fund supports residents who have lost income due to immigration enforcement and others locked out of traditional aid. Every dollar goes directly to people in crisis.

🌷Spring Hours Update!🌷

Starting this Sunday (March 1), we'll be moving into spring hours -- 8am-3pm everyday! Yay for an extra hour of Ula!

Want to see *even later hours at Ula*? From March 20-April 18 we are going to pilot *extended hours at Ula on Friday and Saturday*, staying open until 6pm! If you love the idea, come on in during our extended hours, say hi, and show us you want us to keep it around!

Join us for a community art workshop during this Sunday's Community Hour!

This Sunday February 15 from 9-10am, we'll be joined by local artist Katya Popova for a free community art hour.

We'll have watercolor, oil pastels, paper, and more to help you create some beautiful art.

Not an artist? Come join us to meet your neighbors anyway!

Ready for a crowd pleaser? Say hello to our new QUICHE!

When asked what's in it, our manager Jonny will tell you it's "love".

But it's also butternut squash, goat cheese, rosemary and sage ;-)

We're selling slices for $9 (they're enormous slices, too) or you can get buy a whole quiche for your next event!

Our first community hour was a *hit*!

Thanks to everyone who came out last Sunday for meaningful connection with neighbors and an opportunity for face-to-face time with old and new friends.

Special thanks to our special guest for joining us!

We're got three more community hours planned this month, so come join us! They're happening every Sunday at 9am at the front of the cafe.

We've had requests for more community hours (every month? Afternoons sometimes?) so if things go well, maybe we'll make it a regular thing!

Our next one is happening *this Sunday* so make sure to join us! Community orgs are welcome to bring flyers and other materials to share with the group.

*Partnership alert!* On Saturday, February 7th, we'll be vending hot chocolate, coffee, and treats on site at the Kelly Rink for an exclusive pop-up from 11am-2pm during their special skating show (and even during lessons beforehand)!

Come hungry and enjoy hot beverages, warm pastries, and possibly even some yummy sandwiches (if we can figure it out how to do it).

Introducing...community hour at Ula!

On Sundays in February from 9am to 10am, we'll have an open community hour where you can actively meet and chat with other neighbors, catch up with new and old friends, and relish in face-to-face community.

This Sunday February 1st is our first one!

Join us for:
-Intentional connection with name tags and dedicated meetup space
-A visit from Councilor !

If you're a neighborhood organization, come with any materials you'd like to share (flyers about upcoming events, helpful information for the neighborhood, and more).

We're hiring for 1-2 part- or full-time front of house team members at Ula!

As a member of our FOH team, you'll welcome customers, work the espresso machine, and make sandwiches. We're ideally looking for experienced baristas but can train anyone.

Ula team members receive a variety of competitive benefits, including:

-Competitive pay ($13/hr base pay with a guaranteed $8/hr tip minimum, though lately tips have been about $14-20/hr)
-Paid vacation; plus medical, dental and vision benefits for full-time team members (working over 30 hours per week)
-401(k) retirement available to all team members
-Paid training
-Free meals while working
