We are announcing an exciting author event!
On Sunday October 18th, from 2pm to 330pm, please join us to welcome Caroline Bicks for a reading, signing and Q and A as we celebrate her amazing new book, Monsters In The Archives: My Year of Fear With Stephen King.
Caroline Bicks is the inaugural Stephen E. King Chair in Literature at the University of Maine. Her USA Today Bestselling book, Monsters in the Archives: My Year of Fear with Stephen King (Hogarth, 2026), chronicles the year she spent reading early drafts of King's iconic 1970s stories after he and his wife Tabitha granted her first-of-its kind access to their personal archives. It includes interviews she had with King about the changes she discovered he made to his plotlines, characters, and prose. He's called it "the best book about my writing process that I've ever read." Bicks's shorter nonfiction has appeared in the Modern Love column of the New York Times, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Writers Chronicle, The Financial Times, and elsewhere.
The bar will be open and the book will be available to purchase in our book and record store, as well as classic Stephen King titles and other great spooky season reads! For more info, email [email protected]!
