Cecil's Restaurant A Jacksonville Tradition Since 1945! They opened a Bar-B-Que business known as “Cecil’s”. It was Ray who invented the Cecil burger we serve today.

After the war In 1945 a building on Arlington Road in Jacksonville was given to Cecil Aderhold and his brother by their father. In the early years, Cecil’s was the meeting place for all the local citizens. If you wanted to find out what was going on in the community you had to go to Cecil’s. In 1959 Cecil sold the business to Ray Roland who owned it for 26 years. In 1985 Ray sold the business to J

an McCormick and Dick Melkerson who in turn sold it to Charlie and Marcia Logsdon. Charlie and Marcia carried the Cecil’s torch for over 20 years and created the Southern menu and culture we all know and love. Today Cecil’s is owned by Charlie’s Son Scott Logsdon and his friend and partner Gerald Bullard Jr.. Together, Scott and Gerald hope to continue the culture and tradition that is Cecil’s. Cecil’s is known for it’s hamburgers and pork BBQ. In recent years,the menu has been expanded to include breakfast, lunch and dinner with a different “special” everyday. Cecil’s is a fun place to go because of its
variety of activities such as pool, darts, karaoke, bands, trivia, corn hole, etc.. If you want to have a good time look no further and come on over to Cecil’s.
