Kailey & Aaron’s fourth and final cake was a beautiful dusty blue.

Inside were layers of chocolate and vanilla cake with tiramisu buttercream filling. The perfect final flavor to end the night and this colorful set of cakes.

Kailey & Aaron’s third cake was a peaceful green that looks a lot like the color of the trees outside my kitchen windows (begging me to get outside!)

Inside was chocolate stout cake with Irish buttercream filling….another crowd pleaser 💚

It’s still hazy out there, but at least the sun made an appearance today!

Kailey & Aaron’s second cake was sunshine-y yellow. Inside was chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream and chocolate ganache fillings.

I could go for a bite of this right now!

The smoky hazy is starting to get to me, it is getting to you?

How about something pretty to brighten your day and outlook!

Here’s a closer look at one of Hailey & Aaron’s four wedding cakes from a couple weeks ago.

This one was confetti with chocolate chip cookie dough, and it was the cake they chose for the official cake cutting moment.

Not sure how long the smoke will last, so good thing we have three more of their cakes to share! 🩷💛💚🩵

One of my favorite projects every summer is creating cupcakes for Northern Sky Theater Raise the Curtain event. 🎭🧁

Each year, we dream up cupcakes inspired by the season’s shows, and it’s always such a fun creative challenge.

This year’s themes included water, love, feathers… and butter! 💦❤️🪶🧈 (Yes, butter. 😄)

From edible feathers to little pats of “butter,” every detail was designed to celebrate the stories on stage.

We were lucky enough to see “The Thing with Feathers” last month, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you haven’t been to Northern Sky this season, there’s still time! Take a look at their schedule and grab tickets before the summer ends. Trust me—it’s well worth the trip.

Thank you, Northern Sky Theater, for inviting me to be a small part of such a wonderful event each year. ❤️

Not every day is about cakes… sometimes I make sticks of buttercream “butter.” 🧈😂

These were inspired by Northern Sky Theater’s show “When Butter Churns to Gold”, and I had way too much fun figuring out how to make them look like the real thing.

Getting the shape and color just right, slicing them into tiny pats, and later hand-painting each one with edible gold? Weirdly satisfying. ✨

I can’t wait to show you the finished cupcakes!

This was the fourth wedding from that crazy week in June.

Guests enjoyed vanilla-almond cake with raspberry buttercream and lemon curd filling, finished with vanilla-almond buttercream.

Sometimes the smallest detail becomes everyone’s favorite. 🐶🌸

This elegant buttercream wedding cake was topped with beautiful blooms from Flora Special Occasion Flowers … and tucked right into the flowers was the cutest little pup keeping watch over the celebration.

Inside:
✨ Vanilla-almond chocolate chip cake with tiramisu buttercream
✨ Vanilla-almond cake with raspberry buttercream

Finished with vanilla-almond buttercream and fresh florals for a timeless wedding design.
