Last Saturday of August.
How did THAT happen?

Pretty soon the weekends will be football games, school activities, leaves in the yard and trying to remember where you put the hoodies. But we've still got one more August Saturday.

So take your time today, Jackson.
Sit outside a little longer. Have dinner with somebody you haven't seen enough this summer. Let the kids order dessert. Have another drink and finish the story.
Summer always goes too fast around here.
We're happy to give you a place to enjoy a little more of it.

⚾ Week 9 is taking Jackson to Pittsburgh.

Meet The Pittsburgher: a hand-pattied burger piled with provolone, tomato, sautéed onions, creamy coleslaw AND seasoned fries, all between 2 pieces of Texas toast. Yes, the fries go ON the burger. Pittsburgh has been onto something for a long time.

The story goes back to the 1930s, when a Pittsburgh restaurant started putting freshly fried potatoes right on its sandwiches. Nearly a century later, we figured that was a tradition worth borrowing for the World Series of Burgers.
And honestly, if you’re going Pittsburgh, you might as well commit.

Bringing back old favorites was only part of the plan.

We’ve also been spending some time in the kitchen asking a pretty simple question: How can we make the things you already order even better?

So you’ll notice a few changes the next time you visit.
Our Nachos are getting a little more loaded with black beans and shredded lettuce.
The 1N Rice Bowl is saying goodbye to cilantro lime sour cream and hello to avocado and jalapeño aioli.
Cheese Breadsticks now start with a garlic parmesan base because, frankly, bread + cheese + more garlic is solid Midwestern math.
And Wings? New sauces to explore and 10 wings in every order.

Nothing fancy. Just our kitchen crew tinkering, tasting and finding ways to put a little more flavor on the table.

Sunday morning around here looks a little like this:
Grandparents meeting the kids for breakfast. Neighbors catching up over coffee. Friends pushing a couple tables together because 4 somehow turned into 8. And someone making another trip to the buffet because they definitely need just one more piece of bacon.

That’s Sunday at One North.

Okay, we’ve talked about the food enough. The bar would like a word.

The new One North menu brought a few new cocktails, a couple returning favorites and one very big beer from our neighbors down the road.
🍎 Red Candy Apple (pictured)
Mount Gay Eclipse, sour apple liqueur and moscato with lime, vanilla and a splash of cranberry.
🥃 One North Old Fashioned
Our take on the traditional favorite with Buffalo Trace and a Luxardo cherry.
🔥 Irish Ember
Created by our Lansing team member Aemari! Jameson, Hot Damn and orange with a sweet caramel finish.
🌙 Nutty Nightfall
Back by popular demand. Blanco tequila, peach schnapps and amaretto shaken with pineapple and muddled lime and cherries.
🥥 Coconut White Russian
Kahlúa and vanilla vodka with coconut and cream, finished with cinnamon sugar. Like dessert, but better.
🌶️ Hot Honey Manhattan
Bulleit Bourbon, sweet vermouth and bitters fired up with our house-made hot honey.

You’ve seen the old favorites we brought back. Now let’s talk about something NEW.

Meet our Philly Cheesesteak.

Funny story. We already had the recipe pretty much set. Then we started trying Phillys from other local restaurants because, well... research is delicious.

And we found the beef.

The kind that made everyone at the table stop for a second and go, “Yep. THAT.”
So we tracked it down, brought it into our kitchen and built our Philly around it. Shaved prime beef with sautéed onions, green peppers and mushrooms, melted provolone and Bistro sauce on a toasted hoagie.

We think this one's going to find its way into a lot of regular orders.
The Philly Cheesesteak is on the new menu now. Come meet the new kid.
