Some moments just stick. You just know, right when they’re happening, that you’re never going to forget them. Thursday night was exactly that.
George and Destiny are ENGAGED! 💍❤️
For nine whole months, George has been quietly sweating the details on this. Saving up for the ring, hiding decorations, spinning this elaborate cover story so she wouldn’t catch on... Honestly, just watching him pour absolutely everything into making this perfect for her? It’s the best feeling. I am so incredibly proud of him.
Also, a massive shoutout to my mom and Jess. Getting Destiny to the right spot without completely giving the game away was a total miracle.
I keep thinking about when Destiny first started working at the shop. Haley and I would look at her and literally say, “Why can’t George find a nice girl like that?” Cut to a month later, he takes her to the fair, gets her up on the Ferris wheel, and asks her to be his girlfriend. We were thrilled back then, but seeing them standing there the other night... man. It’s just a million times sweeter.
Destiny, you bring so much pure goodness into George’s life. I couldn’t have hand-picked a better partner for my son if I tried. We’ve loved you for a long time already, but it’s pretty amazing to finally say it officially—welcome to the family, for real. ❤️
