BIG ISLAND GRILL RETURNS JUNE 8, 2026!

The only real change folks will notice is our new operating schedule.

For the 2026 season, B.I.G. will be open Monday-Friday, 11a-6p.

These hours are subject to change based on weather or other extenuating circumstances.

We are a small, dedicated team with minimal resources, and we appreciate your continued support.

Only a couple more months until you can get the best smash burgers this side of the bay, five days a week!

With exciting toppings, Maine-raised beef, and our signature crispy, seasoned French fries, Big Island Grill remains the ORIGINAL, gold-standard for freshly smashed burgers on Islesboro.

We’re all dragging through the winter months and dreaming of sunny days in the park with our friends.

Remember when YOU were this excited about snow days? Back before it meant hours of shoveling, slick commutes, and rushing to refill your brandy supplies?

It’s sorta hard to find joy in life these days, but we can all be grateful for our furry friends who remind us to greet the day with positivity and energy.

🎉TODAY IS THE DAY, FOLKS🎉

Big Island Grill will be closing for the season at 6:00pm TONIGHT (11/22)

We have low supply on a few things (mostly sodas and cheese curds) but will do our damndest to make sure we can get you one last delicious meal before we all take a few much-needed months off.

More importantly though, we here at B.I.G. want (or moreso NEED) to thank the countless friends and customers, both new and old, who came out in droves to support us during our second year of operation.

This tiny little town has an ENORMOUS appetite for quality food, and we consider ourselves extremely lucky to be able to help satiate everyone’s desires for hot beef and cheese.

We hope to see you for one last fresh-smashed sandwich or extra-crispy French fry, but if we have to miss you, we’ll look forward to you seeing you again in June 2026 🫶
