Exciting news: Aura is now YALOS.
In Greek, Yalos means "the seashore" — the strip of sand and stone where the land finally gives up and the sea takes over. In the islands it's where the day actually happens: where the fishing boats come back, long lunches turn into dinners, where someone's always pulling up another chair and pouring another glass.. It's not really a place so much as a way of eating, and a way of being together.
That's what we're building. Starting today, this is now a Greek coastal taverna — fish over charcoal, vegetables that taste like summer, cold w**e, handcrafted cocktails, and plates made for the middle of the table. The Greeks call the rest of it philoxenia: treating every guest like family. We just call it dinner.
