❤️ A Little Lyndsay Appreciation Post ❤️

We love when our customers take the time to recognize the people who help make Rodney’s what it is, and lately, our waitress Lyndsay has received some pretty wonderful mentions in our Google reviews.

Lyndsay has been part of the Rodney’s family for 3½ years, and the story of how she ended up here makes us appreciate her even more.

When she first started at Rodney’s, it was meant to be a second job. She was working full-time and wanted to earn some extra money to help pay for her upcoming wedding. 💍

The wedding has long since passed, but Lyndsay never left. ❤️

She continued working her second job at Rodney’s for one simple reason—she loves the Rodney’s family she found here.

And we’re certainly glad she stayed.

There’s something really special about someone choosing to continue coming to a second job after 3½ years because of the relationships they’ve built there.

😂 WHO MESSED UP THE ORDER?! (Some restaurant humor for your day).

If you’ve ever worked in a restaurant, you already know how this investigation goes…

The server says, “The kitchen messed it up.”
The kitchen says, “That’s what the ticket said.”
Someone blames the printer. 🖨️
Someone else swears, “I KNOW I rang it in right!”
Expo says they never saw it.
And somehow the computer gets blamed even though it can’t defend itself. 😂

Meanwhile, Rodney is standing in the kitchen looking like Sophie Cunningham ready to point out EXACTLY who committed the foul, (not really what happens, but it makes for a great story). 👉😂

And thus begins another episode of…

But here’s the thing about restaurant life…

Sometimes we figure out exactly what happened. Usually we don’t. Most times everyone is so busy that figuring out whose fault it was really isn’t the most important thing at that moment.

Taking care of the customer is. ❤️

So whether it was the server, the kitchen, the printer, the computer—or a mystery we may never solve—our team works together to get it fixed and make it right for the guest.

The server communicates with the kitchen. The kitchen gets to work. Someone jumps in to help
because at the end of the day, we’re all on the same team.

It matters a whole lot less who made the mistake than how we work together to fix it. ❤️

We stopped for a minute when we saw these numbers.

That represents thousands of people who not only chose to spend their time and money at Rodney’s, but then took a few extra minutes afterward to tell us about their experience.

And we just want to say **THANK YOU.**

Thank you for the five-star reviews that make our staff's day. Thank you for mentioning a server by name and recognizing the people who work so hard behind the scenes. There’s something bittersweet about this time of year. ❤️

The car is packed, the dorm room is waiting, and another school year—and a whole new chapter—is about to begin.

But before the unloading, unpacking, and trying to figure out how all that stuff is possibly going to fit in one tiny room 😂… there’s still time for **one more meal together.**

At Rodney’s, we love seeing families slow down for a little while before the goodbyes. One more conversation across the table. One more laugh. One more “Are you SURE you packed everything?” And maybe one more reminder from Mom that you can, in fact, call home. ❤️

To all the parents helping their kids head off to college—and to all the students starting something new—enjoy these last little moments together. They’re the ones you’ll remember.

💍 A beautiful day deserves a beautiful meal! 💍

Rodney’s recently had the honor of catering this gorgeous wedding, and we can’t wait to share some of the beautiful moments captured in these photos.

Guests were welcomed with a drink station that featured fresh brewed iced tea, coffee, and ice water, along with hors d’oeuvres that included a gorgeous fresh fruit tray and charcuterie board.

Dinner began with salads, followed by a delicious buffet featuring:

🍗 Stuffed chicken breast
🥩 Beef tips
🥔 Red potatoes
🍝 Pasta
🫛 Green beans

From the first drink to the final plate, our catering team was proud to help make this couple’s special day even more memorable.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Our Taylor is great!! 🚨

We know because she received TWO Google reviews in one day—and both reviewers came to the exact same conclusion as us:

⭐ “Taylor and Alexis were great!”

⭐ “Taylor was great!”

After carefully reviewing the evidence, consulting the kitchen staff, and conducting a completely unnecessary investigation, we can officially confirm: Taylor is, in fact, great and we love that we aren't the only ones to see it.

You can usually find Taylor taking care of guests in our back room or helping our catering team make Rodney’s weddings extra special. Wherever she’s working, she brings the same friendly service and dedication—and we’re so lucky to have her on our team!

Congratulations, Taylor! Keep up the great work…literally. 👏❤️

Thankfully we are better at cooking than predicting the weather 😬😜

In any case, our ROOF IS WORKING. 😂

We checked.

It is absolutely POURING outside, but Rodney would like everyone to know that it is currently 100% dry inside Rodney’s. ☔️➡️🍝

So if you’re sitting at home watching your yard slowly turn into a pond, you might as well come have lunch and/or dinner with us.

We’ve got hot food, cold drinks, dry chairs… and a roof that is really proving its worth today. 😂

You will, however, have to make it across the parking lot.

That part is between you, your umbrella, and God. ☔️🙏😂

☀️ It might be Monday… but things could definitely be worse. 😂

Because THIS 👇 was what we were dealing with last week. 🌧️🌧️🌧️

So today, we’re choosing to appreciate the little things—like SUNSHINE, dry clothes, and a good plate of pasta. ☀️🍝

And since it just happens to be Pasta Monday at Rodney’s, we think that’s a pretty good reason to celebrate!
