Fingers crossed the skies clear up this weekend! Irondequoit Garden Walks is Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19, 12 to 4 p.m., and it's worth getting outside for. Memorial Day weekend is behind us, but the long-weekend energy can stay—enjoy an Indian-inspired dinner for two at home this weekend.

Our Chicken Biryani features Fisher Hill Farm chicken layered with basmati rice and warm spices, finished with herbs and fried onions. On the side: Indian wedding rice (fragrant basmati with whole spices and fried onions), raita (cool, creamy yogurt sauce with cucumber and herbs), garlic roti, and soft mithai (Indian-style donuts) with seasonal fruit preserves.

Vegetarian option available: Tofu Biryani.
