Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, a day to bring visibility to a crime that often goes unseen and to remind communities that awareness plays a critical role in prevention.

You can participate today by wearing blue, sharing a photo, and starting conversations that help others understand what trafficking really looks like (don't forget to tag us!). Awareness matters because when more people know the signs, survivors are identified sooner and connected to the safety and long term care they need.

Safe House Project works to turn awareness into action by equipping communities to recognize trafficking and by expanding the network of trusted safe homes across the country. Every step toward understanding strengthens the pathway to safety for survivors.

As we get ready to celebrate with family and friends this Holiday season we would like to thank each and everyone who have supported us this year. We also want to give thanks to those who are serving our country both over seas and here on the home front who won't be able to spend time with their families. I'm greatful that I will be able to celebrate at home this holiday and am jot on duty. I hope you all have a wonderful and joyous holiday season.
