Started by our own Jasmine Au, Second Sunday Sessions is an event we host each month that welcomes artists of all skill levels to draw from live models or still life arrangements. Artwork produced from these sessions has been on our walls throughout the month of September, culminating in a closing reception tonight 6-8pm. Stop by and celebrate Jasmine and other local artists!

Unfortunately our screening is at capacity, but Charlie has screenings every day through Tuesday! Check out the Iowa Prairie Documentary Project page and website to see more details.

Press Presents: "Iowa and the Broken Circle" Screening is this Thursday at 6PM! This is a free but ticketed event, spots are limited! (A few spots may have opened up? check the eventbrite link.)

If you are unable to attend this week, there are screenings scheduled all over the state. Plus, if there is enough interest, we could always hold a second screening!

The Iowa/Iowa State football rivalry has been going on since 1894, dubbed the Cy-Hawk game. There was a hiatus of the matchup starting in 1934 but due to fan and alumni enthusiasm, the matchup was renewed in 1977 with its very own trophy. Overall, the University of Iowa leads the series, with 47 wins to Iowa State's 25, but Iowa State has taken victory the past two years.

We have an ever growing collection of University of Iowa Yearbooks, and took a peek in the 1917 edition to see how the game went that year. Apparently not well for Iowa. 😆😬(These old game write ups are an entertaining read.)
