While currently we have a small selection of chicken and meat products in stock, our plan is to expand our range of kosher products. Before Passover we will carry a selection of kosher-for-Passover foods. To buy, call or email Nechama to arrange a time to drop by, as the store is housed in our home. We are glad to help!

We still have turkey breast (bone & skin on)! However, we are out of whole turkeys. If you'd like a whole turkey in time for Thanksgiving, please let me know by this Sunday at noon.

New since we started: hot dogs, smoked turkey roll, whole turkey, and turkey breast. We sold all our chuck deckel and did not get more, so let us know if you'd like to see it stocked again.

Chicken breast (cutlets): $3.99 lb.
Chickens, cut up: $1.89 lb
Minute steak: $6.99 lb.
Ground beef: $3.99 lb.
Hot dogs: $2.80 pkg.
Smoked turkey breast (sliced): $5.89 lb.
Turkey breast (bone & skin on): $2.19 lb.
Whole turkey: $1.99 lb.

Pareve cheesecake recipe:

1 plastic tub of Tofutti "Better Than Cream Cheese"
1 egg
1/2 cup of sugar, or a little less
1 tsp vanilla extract
lemon juice of 1/2 a lemon
3/4 cup of blueberries (optional)

Mix all ingredients together, then pour into a pre-made pie crust.

Bake for 45 minutes at 350.

In light of the Tornado Watch that has been issued for our area, we have changed to location of the barbeque to the Chabad House at 420 E. Jefferson St. in Iowa City, so we can be close to shelter (and basement) should that become necessary.
