Meet Mattie — one of the most creative hands behind the bar at The Citizen.

Raised in Panama City Beach, she grew up cooking with her grandmother, learning the flow of Japanese home-style dishes. She’s at her best when she’s creating.

Her go-to cocktail is the Co**se Reviver No. 2. Gin is her spirit, and she loves how this classic lets its complexity breathe without falling into the obviousness of a martini.

At home, she sips leftover w**e as she cooks, adding a splash to the pan when it feels right. And at Citizen, she’s ordering the Calabrian Shrimp with a chilled rosé.

Mattie brings a maker’s mind and a cook’s heart to the bar.
