The Cafe at Shields Date Garden offers breakfast and lunch, specializing in traditional American and Mexican dishes, as well as new twists on old favorites. The majority of The Cafe's seating is on the outdoor patio boasting fresh white umbrellas, ivory linen covered tables, our rose garden, date palms and mountain views - all creating an experience that feels like a vacation right here at home. he Cafe's menu emphasizes fresh, delicious food that is good for you. Our breads are homemade on site, salad dressings are made from scratch, and dates are incorporated into many dishes adding a healthful, delicious sweetness. Shields Date Pancakes and Shields Signature Salad are just a few of our customers' favorites. The Cafe is mindful of those customers who have food sensitivities by providing alternatives that are gluten-free, lactose-free, and sugar-free.
