My very 1st day open was on April 26, 2013. I served at FCFCU.
The Loaded Lender was named after the Financial Center’s Vice President of Lending Michael MacDonald at the time. It's because the loan was loaded, not him, he was the lender 🤣
It's a joke we share to this day.

Business Owner Holds Food Truck Grand Opening at His Credit Union
Indianapolis, Ind. – Pierogi Love, a new Indianapolis food truck business, will hold its grand opening at Financial Center Federal Credit Union’s main office near 56th Street and I-465 on Friday, April 26th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.. Pierogi Love owner Robert Wilder is a member of Financial Center and says he has the credit union to thank for financing his small business.
“The business team at Financial Center is helping me achieve my goals in my own way,” said Wilder. “Not only have they financed my start up, they’ve spent real time with me helping me strategize and plan, and I couldn’t be more pleased that they have asked to host my official kick-off at their location.”
The credit union was intrigued by Wilder’s take on the Indianapolis food truck scene and the unique product he could bring to it. Originally from Syracuse, New York, Wilder says pierogies and the Hofmann brand hotdogs he serves are popular northeastern foods. Pierogies are Polish dumplings containing meats, vegetables, and cheeses inside a boiled and then fried pasta shell.
Financial Center’s Vice President of Lending Michael MacDonald says Wilder’s vision for Pierogi Love aligned with Financial Center’s mission for helping members improve their financial lives, and that is how the partnership between the business owner and the credit union formed.
“Every dream starts small. Financial Center was started 60 years ago lending money out of a cigar box, and now we serve over 56,000 members,” said MacDonald. “Our hope is that with Robert’s vision and our financial support that Pierogi Love will serve 56,000 pierogies in a fraction of that time.”

Financial Center’s employees will be patronizing Pierogi Love over their lunch hour in the credit union’s parking lot this Friday and they encourage their members and others working close to their location to do the same.
Based out of Southport, the Pierogi Love food truck is available for office parties and catering and will be at several events around the greater-Indianapolis area this summer. For more information about Pierogi Love and the truck’s upcoming event schedule, visit Pierogi Love Indy llc or tweet .
