As a lupus survivor, I’ve sat in a lot of rooms, led a lot of conversations, and poured into a lot of people, but this one hit different.
My workshop with Faces of Lupus, “Through Food: Simple Plant Based Swaps for Lupus Pain and Inflammation,” was the closest to my heart.
Because this wasn’t just information… this was lived experience.
We talked real life, not perfection.
Simple plant based, alkaline inspired swaps that actually fit into everyday routines.
Ways to reduce inflammation without feeling overwhelmed or restricted.
How what’s on your plate, and even in your home, can either support your healing or silently work against you.
This session was about taking your power back in a way that feels doable, sustainable, and yours.
Grateful to share this space. Grateful to live this truth. And grateful to keep doing this work for a community that deserves to feel better, one small shift at a time. 💜
Shoutout to my bestie who pulled up after I said I wasn’t gonna remind her because we both had a heavy week and still surprised me. She helped make sure I was good during setup, tried to make sure I ate, checked me when I was being extra (no that’s maintenance job), helped me tear everything down, and went with me on my next community event because she knew I was anxious about my day.
