Our friends over at the Silo!
A Big Thank You + Important Update from Rusted Silo
Dear Rusted Silo Fans,
Over the past eight years, you’ve been incredibly supportive of our little restaurant by the tracks, and from the bottom of our hearts — thank you.
From day one, our goal was simple: to be a genuine local joint where great food is the focus. Through all the ups and downs — the burglary, the pandemic, the lightning strike that caused the fire, and everything in between — you’ve stood by us and helped us grow. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Like so many small businesses right now, we’re facing real challenges with rising costs, elevated food prices, and less discretionary spending from our hardworking customers. To keep the lights on and continue supporting our 15 team members (who are like family), we knew we needed to find new ways to grow.
We’re excited to share some great news: Rusted Silo is now the official main BBQ vendor for the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, with more locations coming soon! This opportunity is a game-changer for us and will help secure the future of Rusted Silo for years to come. We will continue serving the same high-quality, scratch-made BBQ you’ve come to love in the warm, rustic setting that feels like home.
Because of the size of these large conventions, we will need to temporarily close the restaurant on certain dates to meet the demand. We know this isn’t ideal, and we don’t take it lightly. Please know that any current catering orders already placed for these dates will still be honored. These closures are short-term as we quadruple our smoking capacity and expand our kitchen. Once the expansion is complete and our new team members are fully trained, we’ll be back to our regular Tuesday–Saturday, 11–8 schedule with smoother operations than ever.
For the month of June and early July, we will be closed on the following dates:
June 5–6
June 11–13
June 17–19
June 25–July 3
July 29–August 2
This schedule may change as we progress with our expansion. For the most up-to-date information, please check our Google listing or website.
Tina and I truly appreciate your understanding as we navigate this exciting new chapter. We’re making these moves so we can keep Rusted Silo strong and thriving — instead of raising prices dramatically or risking having to close. Better days are definitely ahead.
If you’re attending any of the big events this summer (ComicCon, GenCon, HOSA, USA Volleyball Jr. Girls Championship, National FFA Convention, etc.), please come find us at the Rollin’ Silo food truck! We’d love to serve you.
Each and every one of you holds a special place in our story. Thank you again for being part of our journey. We can’t wait to come back bigger, better, and even more committed to serving you the best BBQ around.
Sincerely,
Rob & Tina Ecker
