Dear supporters,
First, we would like to thank everyone that has graciously dined with us. On behalf of the entire staff, your support is greatly appreciated. Now, we are asking for your support but in a different way. We would like to bring awareness to our plight that we've been fighting since the beginning of this year. Our home, the former Hard Rock Cafe, was barren. We have since remodeled, made our business appealing for all visitors, and we are continuing renovations to fulfill our desire of offering a quality dining experience. We believe as an effort to keep African-Americans from patronizing downtown, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has remonstrated against the transfer of our liquor license making it difficult for us to thrive. Flair bistro does not have any occurrences, violations, egregious acts or any blemish on our name. At our previous location, we have helped serve the community by collecting back-to-school supplies, clothing, food, and toys for children. Since our opening in February of 2024, we have brought celebrity entertainment, quality service, and cuisine for all to enjoy.
We are being discriminated against and treated unfairly. Statements from IMPD have been false, baseless, defamatory, and biased. We are asking for the support of those who have visited our establishment and would like to see our business flourish as a staple restaurant in downtown Indianapolis. We are asking for letters of support or even social media comments. We also invite you to attend our next hearing to be held on August 8th at 10:30am at the ATC which is located inside the Indiana Government Center South 302 W. Washington St., IGSC Room E114, Indianapolis, IN 46204. We hope you join us in our battle to keep some flair in downtown Indianapolis.
Thank you,
Tanya Davis, Owner, and Flair Bistro
