It is with sad hearts we are announcing the close of the Fork & Function Café on Central. Our last day open as the café will be this coming Monday, Oct 3rd. The decision did not come lightly, but we felt it was the right decision for the journey we are on at this moment in time. If you know our story at Fork & Function, Sarah and I (Nakia) began our journey as a catering and events company () and we had the amazing opportunity to take over ownership of Indy's Kitchen and the café storefont attached to it in 2020 (formerly Artie's on Central).
For the last 2 years, we could not have operated the Fork & Function Café without our Café Manager (and Baked Goods Expert) Elizabeth; as well as our amazing baristas and incredible team in the kitchen! Elizabeth has been an incredible asset to our business, and we are so grateful for her dedication to the café. While one journey may come to an end, another begins. Elizabeth will be pursuing her own passion and goals of owning her very own business. We wish her the best as she begins this next chapter.
Sarah and I are not going anywhere though! Fork & Function Events, in addition to Indy’s Kitchen, continues to grow and we are thankful for your support as we refocus our business goals and passions. The café space is a part of Indy’s Kitchen, and while we may not continue to operate it as a daily café, the space is still available to host pop-ups and special events as well as be a pick-up location for our weekly Meal Prep services. There are lots of exciting ideas to explore with this space and we are looking forward to what the future may hold!
