Throughout our lifetimes we come to crossroads where we have to make decisions about the road we want to take. Kim and I have come to one of those times where several different factors have caused us to reflect on what road we will choose. After 18 years of serving Irvington, the Eastside and greater Indianapolis, we have come to the difficult decision of moving on from The Legend.
We owe an unending debt of gratitude to our neighbors and friends who have been very generous supporters over the course of the last 18 years. We have seen births, deaths, celebrated birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, have seen little kids grow into adults and gotten to know your families intimately. With your help we have even survived a pandemic.
Yes, we did survive this year financially, but the enduring physical, mental and emotional toll it has put us through was one of the factors in making our decision to retire from this business. We have family and grandchildren we want to share good times with while we still have the energy to do so, just like all of you.
We are hoping, along with the landlord, for someone to purchase the business and keep it running in some form. Meanwhile, our last day of operation will be Friday, April 30th. If you have gift certificates, please use them. We look forward to seeing all you loyal, generous, caring customers over the next couple of weeks. Although it won't be easy, we will be saying good bye to you and our business.
Thank you all so very much, John & Kim
