Hi all, Yuka here again. We owe you a long overdue update, and more importantly, a huge thank you for your patience. 🙏
When Ocean World closed back in August, it was the end of a chapter that meant so much to us. But after years of pouring everything into that kitchen, our dad finally got to do something he deserved more than anything — rest. 💙
In November, our family made it to Disney World for the very first time together as part of my dad's retirement trip, and watching him experience a little magic after all those years of hard work? Priceless. 🏰✨
And yes, that IS my dad grinning from ear to ear next to Darth Vader. I don't think i've seen him happier....like EVER. 😂⬛ He's earned it though, right?
These days, you might catch him over at Sakura Japanese Restaurant helping out somehow or out scouting his next move.
And yes, there IS a next move. He's been quietly working on something new — something smaller, more personal — but we're not quite ready to spill the details just yet.
What we can say is that the wheels are turning and he's not done feeding this community.
News is coming in the summer 👀
