When we announced them back in 2023, they were opening their very first location right off Yale University’s campus in New Haven, CT. Fast forward and they are now opening their third MOTW Coffee & Pastries in Norwalk, Connecticut. 💔 Yesterday, our team was sitting at our office when we received the text that there were two active shooters at a mosque in San Diego. Shortly after that text, it was followed by another text that it was two young kids who came into the mosque and killed three of our Muslim brothers. The brothers that were killed were protecting the children that were in the mosque at that time. This is horrific. Racism has no place in this world. Hate towards any body or any group is wrong, period. When racism and hate go unchecked, as we see in the political space today, this is what happens. It gives young kids, like the 17 and 19 year old that did the shooting yesterday at this Mosque the green light that shooting some Muslims is ok. Our mission with MOTW Coffee has always been to change the way the world sees Muslims in a positive way. In less than three weeks, we open our MOTW San Diego shop which is about two minutes away from this mosque, we hope we can bring ease to this community. Please keep the ones who died in your prayers, and remember, spread peace and love one another.

Meet Syed, the passionate owner bringing MOTW to the heart of Providence, just a short walk from the famous, Brown University.

After months of hard work and sleepless nights, the doors are almost ready to open. The MOTW family continues to grow, and we are so honored to bring specialty coffee & pastries to the Creative Capital.

BREAKING NEWS (Literally): It is with great sadness that we found this morning that someone broke into our MOTW shop on 38th street, stole our entire cash register money, broke our entire front door. We have been dealing with a lot of hate since this war started and with the economy, times have been very tough for small minority owned businesses. Our shop will still be open despite this ordeal. If you are someone who is struggling in the community and needs help, reach out. We know several people are struggling to pay bills and MOTW Coffee has always been a community coffee shop. We are here to serve you all. And we won’t let something like this stop us from our mission. Your support during this time truly means a lot to us as we work to recover from the damage and loss.
