Mornings like this always make me think of big booths, coffee that keeps getting topped off, and a plate that arrives before you’ve even finished the first conversation. Pancake houses have a certain rhythm to them.

Stacked pancakes, eggs any way you want them, and the kind of breakfast menu that has probably settled a lot of family debates over the years. Places like this are where you go when nobody wants to get fancy, they just want a proper meal.

I always appreciate a restaurant that knows its lane and stays in it. You can tell when a place has fed plenty of early risers, weekend crowds, and folks just passing through for breakfast.

I hope businesses like this keep serving up those long, easy mornings.
