Apologize in advance for the somewhat lengthy post, but it is necessary in order to fully explain the reason you might have noticed "discrepancies" in our pricing lately. Also included is a graphic with a pricing example to show the specifics. We hope this clears up any questions our customers may have been having recently.
💰 When the penny made its big move to no longer be in production, we used that as a prime time to adjust all our pricing to end (including tax) on the quarter. This allowed us to no longer have to have pennies, nickels, or dimes on hand. Along with this change, we swapped our food pricing to INCLUDE taxes in the price that you see, the same way our beverages have always been. Therefore, you will no longer see a line on the receipt for TAX. In making these two changes, there was some rounding that needed to take place to ensure the final price ended on the quarter.
💰 We have also made a slight increase (25¢) to most of our food items so that we no longer have the highly debated $2 credit card fee. This increase of ONE SINGLE QUARTER per meal item on the menu serves to help offset the credit card processing fees that we are charged as a small business. This is a fee that we CANNOT bypass in any way, unless we remove the convenience of being able to pay with a card. The fee schedule is determined by the processing company that we (or anyone) use(s).
🍺 In-Person (swipe, insert, tap): 2.5% (of the transaction total) + 0.15
🍺 In-Person AMERICAN EXPRESS (swipe, insert, tap): 3.29% (of the transaction total) + 0.15
🍺 Card NOT Present: 5% (of the transaction total) + 0.15 (manual card number entry, over-the-phone payment, QR Pay)
💰 As for upcoming changes, we are currently in the process of removing one distributor and bringing on another. Most menu items will remain the same; some will change to being prepared with better quality products, a few brand new items will be added, and unfortunately some items will be removed completely. Therefore, until we get our new menu dialed in and pricing adjusted to reflect current costs, we will continue to use our current printed menu. We will revamp and print an entirely new menu as soon as we can. Until then, please bear with us, and we will do our best to advertise new menu options as they come about.
In addition, we are fully aware that there is absolutely no way we can please everyone when it comes to menu items and pricing. Menus and pricing can be a complicated, intertwined process/project that is seemingly ever-changing. We are working as fast as we can to bring the best quality products to our customers. We sincerely appreciate your patience with everything and look forward to hearing your feedback on the new items.
