Our 5-year-old cannot wait to “come to work with Mom and Dad” when our taco restaurant opens. She’s been designing restaurants at school and showing them to us with so much pride. At home, she builds the entire restaurant out of magnetic tiles! It’s the sweetest thing to witness.
What’s difficult to understand is the constant opposition we’ve faced from our neighbor — the only resident in the lot. First came daily fake reviews targeting our business. Then harassment on my personal page. Then 3–4 letters to Planning & Zoning aimed at denying our application. Now, letters to the Building Department and Code Enforcement in an attempt to keep us from passing.
What makes this especially troubling is that she works as a Parents as Teachers supervisor with Fox C-6 School District — the same district our children attend. AND a group that my kids are involved in. Despite that role, the harassment toward our family has not stopped.
Through it all, we remain committed. We are standing our ground, protecting our dream, and showing our daughter what it looks like to face adversity with grace and strength.
Friends . We are not going anywhere . While showcasing the troubles that we’ve been through we are extremely grateful for the community’s support for our family business ♥️♥️
