Hello everyone. Here’s the update on the business…

Today is a bittersweet day… I sold the 500 gallon smoker. The gentleman who bought it has great plans of his own to start catering in the Boise, Idaho area.

Thank you to all who have supported us in these years, it really has been a fun 5 years or so.

At this time we are closing the business to pursue family time and enjoy the 2023 year. If we build or buy a new smoker and get back into catering, we will post it here.

Selling my 500 Reverse Flow Smoker. Primarily used for Whole Hogs, but does an awesome job with ribs, roasts, turkeys, etc etc. once it gets to temp it hold pretty easily. Of course you’ve got to babysit the fire, but that’s the art of stick burners. Located in northern Utah. Available June 25. Trailer has a clean title. $3500

GranQuartz in Salt Lake City had us help out with their Customer/Vendor Appreciation Day 2021. Served a 240 pound hog, 7 gallons of baked beans, and 7 gallons of macaroni salad. We are very thankful to be a part of your celebration day.

Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches for dinner tonight. 2 roasts on smoker for 2 hours, then soaked in crockpot Au Jus sauce for 30 minutes.
Topped with Sautéed Mushrooms, Onions, and Peppers. Simple recipe, great tasting meal.

Mark your calendar for Saturday May 1..... Spring Fling cookout. We are going to kickoff our 2021 season with a “Provide your own meat” cookout. $10 charge per item - to help pay for wood. Side dishes (Dutch oven potatoes and baked beans) are available upon request, for an additional fee.

Brisket is an option, but we currently have little experience with brisket.... hence we’re cooking a couple for practice that day.

Crisp E. Bacon got a nice tan Friday night into Saturday afternoon... cooked low n slow for 24 hours. Super tender, super juicy, and fell right off the bones. Thanks to Lakeside Lodge in Island Park, Idaho for the opportunity to participate in the End of Summer party.

The end of the Summer Season is coming quick! Next Saturday, September 5th we will be having our Annual Labor Day Hog Roast starting at 2pm by The Whole Hog BBQ. Live Music will start at 8pm by Flash Drive. Come on out and celebrate the end of the Summer Season with us!

Independence Day Celebration at Lakeside Lodge was a huge success. 20 hours of low n slow heat on a 310 pound hog... melt in your mouth bbq. Got a little darker bark than originally planned, but this sure gave it an incredible flavor.
