For the last 10 years, all of our pizzas at Joe Cristiano’s Pizza, Smith Bros., and Valia’s Wood Fire have been made with flour that is bromate-free and bleach-free.

Nothing new, nothing we just started doing now that we are being forced. It’s just the standard we’ve held ourselves to.

It just seemed like the right thing to do.

Joe Cristiano’s is 19 years in.

For nearly two decades, we’ve become part of the neighborhood rhythm — your Friday nights, your comfort meals, your go-to spot. That means more to us than we can say.

But a lot has changed in the restaurant world, and if we want to keep tossing dough and serving this community for another 20 years, it’s time for a little refresh.

So before we turn 20, we’re making some changes. Over the coming weeks, you’ll begin to see:

• A new logo • Updated packaging • A refreshed, simplified menu • Improved ordering systems • Operational upgrades behind the scenes

A few longtime items may retire — and yes, we’ll miss them too. But this isn’t a full makeover. It’s more like a glow-up: keeping the heart of Joe Cristiano’s exactly the same, while making everything around it a little better.

Nineteen years gives you perspective. Twenty deserves intention.

Change can feel weird at first (kind of like switching to a new slice after loving the same one for years). We get it. But we’re excited about where we’re heading — and we’re grateful you’re coming along with us.
