Yesterday, I loved having those that have traveled here come back for their annual stop! I am always excited to see everyone. I cannot wait to see everyone!

Just the hint of cooler weather makes us ready for Soup Season! We are equipped with new ideas, but we will kick off with our favorites!

This week, we have our delicious TACO SOUP!

You can enjoy a cup of it alone, order it as a side to your meal or enjoy the 'Soup and (half) Sandwich option.

Have I ever shared that I have an addiction for recipe books. My favorite place to buy then is in thrift and antique stores. I, actually, just read them like a book for the most part. Every once in awhile, I might try a recipe, but not often.

Imagine my delight to find this cook book in a second hand store in Canyon City, Colorado. I have a lot of ties to Buhler, Kansas (and Buhler High School). One being my dad was a graduate!

Please don't tell Norman and Blondie that Mary no longer has this, but maybe they would love how it was found and the immense joy it is giving me!

I would love to share every single detail of all that has happened recently, but I need to sum it up. I will be closed this week. I am sorry for any inconvenience.

We had a small plumbing issue that created a huge issue yesterday. Therefore, I was not able to prep to open. We planned a short week, to be able to enjoy the holiday weekend. However, this set back has left us with the decision to close the entire week.

As if this were not enough, the icing on the cake was having my 10 quart Hobart mixer officially dying. She has faithly served me for the 6 1/2 years. She is the first piece of professional equipment that I was able to purchase with my sweetly earned money after opening the shop.

I believe all happens for a reason. I needed a better mixer for the next chapter of the shop anyway. This just has me moving forward!

My granddaughters were happy to be my mini-cake testers today!! I think these will be a lot more fun to have on hand than cupcakes! I am thinking this size will have more of a demand.

Now, we clearly see who would eat a bowl of Buttercream if allowed!

My new way of using extra batter and Buttercream after decorating a cake!

Mini Cakes are $5 each. You all know I do not like to freeze cakes and/or cupcakes, but I will put a few of these in the freezer to have on hand. If you get a hankering for cake, they will thaw within minutes for you to enjoy!

Plus, these would make sweet gifts to give to someone to celebrate any and all occassions.

They will have various designs, based on what I am making. This weekend just happens to be pretty colors from a Unicorn Cake!

Man, we love the hussle of getting orders that stretch us! We started the day with putting together 25 meals on a short notice! Now, we are in the process of replinishing everything.

Yesterday, cookies were in such a hot demand. I am in the kitchen working on getting the case full again!

I am trying to squeeze in a couple new desserts, but that might have to wait until next week.

My prayer is that this momentum will continue! If you have a meeting or gathering, do not hesitate to call us. Never feel bad for a last minute request. I am always honest if I can make it happen or not. The beat in my step is sure happier when sweetly challenged!

Dear Sweet Friends, guess who has to go buy more Colorado Peaches from Smith's Market in the morning? The first batch went so fast! Don't worry, I am making a DOUBLE batch!!

Seriously, this cookie should be advertised as the "perfect cookie"! I will never say any cookie tops the Cloud 9, because that would just be impossible, but this one is so close!!

Well, I have decided to keep these two items on the menu for the month of August!

Honestly, I am being asked to just make the Crab Ragoon Sandwich a permanent option. After selling 20 this week, I think the initial demand gives me a strong indication that it is very possible. Let's see how the month rolls out!

A couple weeks ago, I was invited to join my best friends on a trip to Maryland. I spent some magical moments soaking up all the flavors of many seafood dishes! I wanted to recreate the magic, so we added two special items to the menu this week.

The Crab Ragoon Sandwich is absolutely one of the best sandwiches we have ever created! So far, we are being asked to add this to our menu, permanently! It is loaded with Imitation Crab Meat, Cream Cheese and the perfect seasonings! If you want it spicy, we can rub the top with Spicy Chili Crisp Oil to give it an additional kick!

Now, we did not spare any expense to make the Seafood Bisque. It is packed with the same Blue Crab Meat I enjoyed in Maryland. Plus two pounds of fresh (cooked) shrimp!

The door was unlocked. And look who popped in the other day before we opened?

What a wonderful encounter with Senator Jerry Moran! He entertained me with these pictures after he placed a lunch order.

Since he had a meeting to attend, he came back to pick up his lunch on the way out of town. He asked about my Cloud 9 Cookies and I explained that we should have named them the "Come Back Cookie" (because everyone that has them comes back!!). I might have added a fresh Chocolate Chip in his box to sweeten his memory of visiting!

Regardless of your political views in this world, when someone makes a decision to serve others, they sacrifice so much of themselves. Their work is appreciated and valued and I shared my thoughts him!

I was so tickled with all his positive comments to seek out small businesses to ensure we all thrive!

Senator Moran, I certainly hope you come back!

It is ALWAYS a good day for Ice Cream!! You are keeping our dipping station busy!

We replaced the Keto Strawberry with Keto Blueberry! We are almost out of Lemon Poppyseed, so come get it before we get to the last scoop. We will not have this flavor back until next summer!

The love for the Black Hawaii is apparent, because we are already dipping a new container! The same goes for the Bubble Gum!
