Denim & Diamonds offers dining, talent show and auction

Mark your calendar for March 29 for one of Northeast Tarrant's signature events, Denim & Diamonds, featuring a dining showcase of local restaurants, an enormous auction and an entertaining talent show. A new venue, the NYTEX Sports Centre at 8851 Ice House Drive in North Richland Hills, will welcome throngs of guests at the festive occasion hosted by the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce.

Guests will sample specialty food dishes from some of the area's best restaurants and caterers while they browse more than 300 auction items.

Participating restaurants include 3 Parrots Taco Shop, Abuelo's, Bonefish Grill, Chef Point Cafe, Cisco Jack's, Cotton Patch, El Chico, Jersey Mike's, Jet's Pizza, Lucky Strike, Mama's Pizza, Niki's Italian Bistro, Spring Creek, Sweet Memories Cakes, Sweet P's, The Egg & I, Zonga's and ZuRoma.

Superb entertainment from a fun-filled talent show called D&D's Got Talent will feature area performers competing for top talent honors that include cash prizes and a recording session.

Wipe Out Kids Cancer

This Wednesday we are supporting Wipe Out Kids Cancer for our fifth annual Day-of-Giving. 100% of our sales will be donated to this great local charity. It is a great day to come in and enjoy a Jersey Mike's Sub. http://wokc.org/default.aspx

Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer (WOKC), is a Dallas based non-profit organization founded in 1980 dedicated to eradicating pediatric cancer by funding innovative research and treatments, while providing hope and support to kids and families battling cancer.

During the month of March, all are invited to come into their local Jersey Mike’s restaurant and make a donation to that location’s designated charity partner. Charities include hospitals, youth organizations, food banks and more. Jersey Mike’s will offer special incentives as a thank you such as $1 off offer for the next visit with $1 donation or a Free Chip and Drink offer for the next visit with a $3 donation.

The campaign will culminate in the nationwide event, Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 26 when 100% of the day’s sales are donated to the local partner charity. Very sad to say that today is our Manager Gil's last day. He is moving into the oil & gas field. Gil has managed the Hurst store since it opened and has done a great job, showed great dedication and commitment to the Jersey Mike's values. He will very much be missed. First of all, thank you for the free lunch! I started eating Jersey Mike’s Subs about 3 years ago. I was a sales manager for a gym in Gahanna OH , and lucky for me, that location was right next door to us.

Anyways, I was having the worst day in recent memory and it obviously showed when I was informed that I won a free lunch from Jersey Mike's. I was told that this free lunch was passed on from someone else who asked that it be given to the first person who looked like they needed it! I felt so lucky that this person was me! You never know when something might pop into your life just when you need it most. This act of kindness will stay with me forever!

The Jersey Mike's in Gahanna , OH represents, in my opinion, what lunch time is all about...great food, excellent service, always clean, and really awesome employees. Because of my experience with your company, I’m a lifer! I’ll always be a Jersey Mike’s Fan!
