We want to start by saying thank you—from the bottom of our hearts—to the amazing Huron community. Truly, we could not have done this without all of you. Opening Tokyo Huron back in September of 2023 feels like just yesterday… and yet, somehow, so much life has happened in such a short time. Time really does fly.
This post is a bittersweet one for us. Tokyo Huron will be going under new ownership, while continuing to carry the Tokyo name we’ve all built together. While change is never easy, we feel comfort knowing the name and spirit will still live on.
These past couple of years have been incredibly meaningful, but also very full and fast-paced for our family. With our two little ones—our 2½-year-old daughter and our soon-to-be 5-month-old son—we’ve come to realize just how quickly these precious moments pass. Between the long hours and constant traveling, we’ve missed more time at home than we ever expected.
After a lot of thought, we’ve made the decision to slow down and be more present—to spend more time with our kids, to be there for the little moments, and to build memories with them while they’re still so small. That time is something we can never get back.
This community has given us so much love, support, and encouragement since day one. You welcomed us, supported us, and made Tokyo Huron feel like more than just a restaurant—you made it feel like family. Saying goodbye in this way is not easy, and it comes with a lot of emotions.
From our family to yours, thank you for everything. We will always carry Huron and all of you with us. ❤️
