Good morning friends, today we're closing at 4pm to celebrate the life of an extraordinary soul who left us too soon.

🌟 She was a shining star, radiating brilliance, charisma, and kindness, always speaking her truth with courage and conviction. That friend who became a sister, a guiding light in our lives, and a constant source of inspiration.

She ignited a spark in me (James) when we first met as coworkers, and fueled my passion to pursue my dreams, including opening this restaurant. Denise, your legacy will live on, and I know you'll continue to inspire us from above, urging us to be our best selves, to chase our dreams, and to fight for what we believe in. ✨️

It's that time again. But I have a few things to cover first.

Please, no more donations at this time. I went by this weekend (Saturday morning, before preparing for company) to get in donations that I knew were there. Today when I went back, there were bags that had gotten rained on, sitting in the parking lot. I don't go to the building every day. We had a child's birthday party this weekend, and lots of other things that came up, including one of the mobile homes on Walker Ln. getting struck by a car. Rain is in the forecast for the next 10 days. We also have the give-away this weekend and have to prepare for that. No donations, please, at this time. If there is something you think is a special circumstance, please message me.

Thank you to the Tripplet family, the DeWeerdt family, and all the others who have shared donations with us. I know other's have contacted me, I just don't have the names in front of me at this time.

We have been asked by Meridianville First Baptist Church to register for school supplies and backpacks in June, instead of July, like we usually do. They are the group that partners with us and provides us with most of what we pass out. We are glad to do this to assist them in preparing for this work. If you need backpacks and school supplies, I will address how to sign up in this email. If your school is going to provide backpacks and supplies, please don't register. If you need a backpack only, let me know. We will verify which schools are providing supplies before we fill the requests.

Now, if you need an appointment for the clothing give away Saturday, please message me. If you need food, you don't need an appointment, but I do need to know. If you want to register for school items, message me that also. I may be able to send the applications out by email. I'm not sure. We will still distribute school items in late July.

*$15 ~ Pickled Pork Melt* 🤯 Because adulting is hard, but eating this sandwich is easy! Texas toast, melted cheddar, pulled pork, pickles, and a drizzle of pickle BBQ sauce & creamy white sauce... need we say more?

Oh, and pick a side, because why not? 🤪 *$5 ~ Coconut Cream Cake Parfait* 🍰 We're not saying this coconut cake is the answer to world peace, but it's definitely a good start. Layers of coconut cake, coconut cream, and whipped coconut icing... our taste buds are doing the happy dance!

*Wing Dry Rub ~ Mango Habanero* 🔥 Warning: our Mango Habanero wings may cause excessive happiness, spontaneous dancing, and a sudden urge to sing 'I'm a little teapot'. Sweet mango and spicy habanero, a match made in heaven! 😋
