Live piano is the way to live! Yes, I used the word "live" in two different contexts in the same sentence. Having reached a higher plane of existence I leave you all with the music tonight and retreat to a mist-shrouded mountain-side dwelling away from the horror and clamor of the digital day. Not into all the effort it takes to transcend the modern maze of Absurdity? There's always piano tonight at 7? Where? Chez Ninnet.

It's Saturday, the sun is somewhere in the sky; the cacophony of truck engines and sirens clog the streets. A double parked BMW stalls the angry traffic on New York Avenue; a bottleneck forms, blood quickens and horns blare. All that is happening out there. Come in here tonight, come out of the madness; come see Ninnet. And for those inclined towards the trivial, whose self portrait have I desecrated in this post?

Tonight at Ninnet and George, Ginger and Fred-no wait, that's in a parallel universe where Hollywood celebrities live forever, their souls trapped in eternal, unfading, robotic husks. It's quite dystopian really, and the amount of avocado toast consummed is obscene.
In this universe TheHaymakers are dazzling us with an acoustic array of swing tunes. Lessons at 7. Dance at 8. Avocado toast at 9.

Our evenings are designed and curated with an eye (and ear) towards a social, not simply performative, experience. Live, lo-fi music, conversation, drinks, food and art altogether. Most of our sets are intimate and acoustic, often designed with breaks where vinyl DJs, or other performers take to the stage. We are open Wednesday through Sunday 8am to close. We hope to see you this week. Thank you.

Welcome!

Ninnet & George's is located in the heart of Huntington. It is made up of Ninnet's (342 New York Ave) and George's (344). If one door isn't open the other always is; and many times, they both are.

N&G is designed by the same crew that started and ran Industry for seven years. Ninnet's carries and serves Southdown Coffee and Clipper Ship Tea, a vinyl listening room and plenty of antiques for sale. George's has a lounge and laid back feel (if I do say so myself) replete with a small stage for events, a back art gallery and local art dotting the walls alongside classic pieces. Swing by and enjoy a cocktail. We host private parties, swing nights, sketch nights and much more (which is another way of saying that I don't want to list eveything we host). We're open Wednesdsy to Saturday 8am to close (usually between 9pm and 11) and Sunday 10am to close.
