It is with a heavy heart that we share some difficult news with our loyal guests and community: Schooner’s Waterfront Grille will not be opening this season.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for their continued support and for their genuine efforts throughout this process. Their cooperation and partnership have meant a great deal to us.
As part of broader changes at the federal level, the Corps has been transitioning away from direct private-sector leasing arrangements. Despite good-faith efforts on all sides to find a way forward, we have ultimately been unable to secure the local governmental framework necessary to continue operations.
To every guest who has shared a meal, a sunset, and a memory with us at Schooner’s — thank you. Your support over the years has been the heart of everything we do. While this chapter is closing, we look forward to what the future holds.
