At Hood Professionals we specialize in commercial exhaust hood cleaning. Our process ensures that systems are cleaned and inspected according to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 96 Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations.
Hood Professionals is looking to hire and train a Hood Cleaning Technician. There are full-time positions available, with flexible hours. Excellent job growth/advancement opportunities with tiered pay raises through certification training, along with paid competitive wage increases.
No experience required; on-the-job training will be provided. However, previous mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pressure washing, janitorial cleaning, or kitchen exhaust hood cleaning experience is a plus. This is primarily night work on Sunday through Thursday nights with hours that vary.
Responsibilities:
The set-up and take-down of equipment including: hanging plastic sheeting, mixing chemicals, setting up ladders, wet/dry vacuums, pre-sprayers, garden hoses, and high-pressure hoses
Pre-scraping greasy buildup from affected areas of kitchen exhaust systems
Pressure washing the interior of kitchen exhaust systems (fans, ducts, and hoods)
Final clean-up in kitchens by wiping down the hoods, mopping up the floors, etc.
Digital photography of all work performed at each job
Independent completion of work projects with limited supervision
Reporting mechanical deficiencies of customer and/or company equipment to management
Maintaining the cleanliness of company tools, equipment, and vehicles each night
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour
