Macassar Ebony is a very rare and highly desired exotic wood from Southeast Asia. It’s often seen being used for architectural wall panels, high-end cabinetry, and it’s highly coveted in the musical instrument community. It is famous for its striped appearance of deep brown heartwood and sapwood that ranges from golden brown to sometimes a peach or light pink color.

American Elm slab Number 14904 is one of 61 we currently have available. It measures 113 inches across, with 47 inches from the center and a full 3 inches thick. American Elm is known for its warm color, bold grain, and natural movement, and this salvaged tree has a story behind it that makes the slab even more special. This piece is a great example of just how much character Elm can produce.
