Dubois County Humane Society needs our help:

🚨 COMMUNITY, WE NEED YOU. 🚨

As some of you may already be aware, DCHS recently responded to an emergency situation that resulted in 20 dogs coming into our care at once — most of them puppies.

Taking in this many animals at one time comes with an immense and immediate financial cost. Each dog needs veterinary care, vaccinations, food, housing, supplies, and eventually spay/neuter surgery before adoption.

We also want to be transparent: this comes at an incredibly difficult time for DCHS financially. Our resources are already stretched, but this is exactly why we exist.

When animals in our community need help, our mission is to step up. We are able to say YES in moments like this because our community continues to step up with us.

🐾 Monetary donations are our greatest immediate need. Every $5, $10, $20 or $50 helps us shoulder the cost of caring for these animals. Link to donate in comments⬇️

If you’re able, we would be especially grateful if you would consider becoming a recurring donor. Even $20 a month gives DCHS stability — helping us care for the animals here today while preparing us for the next emergency.

20 dogs needed someone to step up for them. DCHS did. Now we’re asking our community to step up with us. ❤️

Donate if you can. Become a monthly donor if you’re able. And please, share this post. 🐾

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🎀💗

About 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Behind that number are mothers, daughters, sisters, friends—and families whose lives are forever changed.

Pink Night at Firefly is about bringing our community together to support those affected by breast cancer. Join us Thursday, October 15, for an evening of shopping, sips, bites, and community. 💕

Wear your pink, bring a friend, and spend an evening with us supporting a cause close to so many hearts. Keep following for more details💗

Hauntingburg formerly known as Haunted Huntingburg is here!!

🎃With a few little changes you won't want to miss this event.
Change #1️⃣: thanks to some dedicated visitors- was our name.
Although we loved Haunted Huntingburg when we met the crew of people that came with shirts made specifically for our event - we took their advice!!! Thank you 😉

Change #2️⃣: the day. We moved our event from a Saturday to Friday night. We know the weekend can be busy and we want this to be a easy decision, so we moved this event to mimic our enjoyable 4th Fridays.
Similar layout: Free Music, bar service, food trucks, inflatables for the kids, and fun for everyone.
A little twist: this event will go from 5 til 9pm with music but shortly after 9 we will show a free movie to the community. Don't miss it!
