Owner Paul Reitano is the proud descendant of his Great Grand Father, Rocco “Rocky” Reitano, who immigrated at 21 from Reggio Di Calabria, Italy to New York on the passenger ship Taormina. Rocky was an accomplished baker and worked hard to open a very successful bakery in New York. Rocky and his wife Carmella were the cornerstone of the Reitano family and they loved to cook and serve the finest authentic Italian cuisine to their growing family. His specialty pizzas were so popular with his family that he began serving them at his bakery. His old world inspired recipes and passion to serve are ingrained in the very fabric of Paul Reitano. Paul is a true entrepreneur and built a successful business, which he moved to his new home in Charlotte, NC in 2006. Paul longed for the quality New York style pizza that he loved which was the inspiration for and inception of Rocky’s Pizza. Rocky’s is privately owned and operated by Paul Reitano who takes pride in everything he does. "At Rocky's you're not just a customer, you are Paul’s special guest."
