You patrolled the streets of Baghdad, the valleys of Afghanistan, and served across the globe in the Global War on Terrorism. You came home to Humboldt, but maybe you haven’t found your "spot" yet.

Adams Post 119 was built by WWI vets for every generation that followed. We are more than Veterans, we are a network.

We’re looking for OIF, OEF, and all post-9/11 veterans to help us lead the Post into its next 100 years. No "old man" stories required—just local vets looking out for each other.

We don't post much anymore but when we saw this today it broke our hearts. The same fate we experienced is now looming for our small town theater. Like many small businesses in this town we don't exist without patronage. Will you be part of the solution?

If you haven't tried The Good Cup or followed them by now. You're wrong. Go visit them downtown Humboldt in the old American Legion building. After you grab a coffee, head across the street to Night Owl Books for a book. Then, later this evening as the sun goes down, roll over to Humota Theater for a feature film.

The American Legion Adams Post 119 and the Vfw Post 5240 Sather Odgaard Dakota City, Iowa will be hosting a Memorial Day event at 930am, May 26th at the New Veterans memorial. Located at Worthington Park. Please take some time out of your day to attend!
