Played against Joe , he plays the half court , I the entire singles court ,I didn't have a good start ,Joe broke my starting service game to love , I began with a deficit 0-1 but soon tied 2-2. Then 3-2 a brutally long service game even though I was winning 40-0 it became deuce . I was leading 5-2 with Joe serving 30-40 meaning match point Joe calls a ball I hit right at his feet out , he wins the game 5-3,I lose my service game 5-4, I finally break Joe to take the set 6-4 ,brutally ,blistery conditions affecting the toss . I win the tie breaker easy 10-5 ,I was leading 8-3. . Beats being in church outdoors getting exercise

I played 3 days in a row y I was exhausted, my entire body hurt, coming in ,what with a lingering allergy but no excuses , lost the first set narrowly , 4-6 was losing bad 2-5 Joe only plays the half singles court ,I the entire court , I'm forced to hit the ball diagonal Everytime . Won the 10 point tie-breaker 10-4

I lost the first set narrowly 4-6, I was losing bad 2-5 ,my entire body hurt playing singles 3 days in a row , I won the 10 point te-breaker 10-4; Joe only plays the half court and I the entire singles court . Joe is an amazing player , keeps returning every ball ,like the Berlin wall . Tennis singles is whipping your body against the court . Vamos ,better than sleeping in on a gorgeous spring day .

Sunday morning tennis lesson with Joe ,he plays the half court and I entire singles court , even though I lost the first set 3-6, I took key learnings, tennis singles is a brutal sport , you lose more often than you win , that's what teaches players humility unless of course you're named Djokovic , Alcaraz or Sinner 😜 . I won the 10 point tie-breaker 11-9 ,I was leading all the time in the tie-breaker we have a 10 shot rally where Joe was making me run all over the court with drop shots to the left hand then hitting deep to my right I ran and got back into the point ,then I hit a great deep shot to which Joe shanks a winning drop shot to my left hand on corner ,I run but can't get to it . I'm still ahead but I have to still serve , I'm panting exhausted ,I double fault as serve takes so much energy ,he'd depleted my tank of energy . I'm just glad I squeaked the tie breaker. 💪🏾 Positives ,I served great even while serving against the sun . 💪🏾

Jugué un partido de tenis individual, lo cual resulta brutal cuando te enfrentas a Mitch, quien posee un saque excelente. Iba ganando 4-0, pero el tenis es un deporte despiadado: basta con perder un solo juego al saque (saqué fatal, cometiendo múltiples dobles faltas, algo que rara vez me ocurre). Claro que, después de haber ayudado a Scotty con la mudanza cargando muebles pesados, me dolía el hombro. Aun así, gané el *tie-break* por 7-6 (7-2) y, a continuación, jugamos un *super tie-break* a diez puntos que gané 10-2. El tenis individual es brutal; toma al ser humano y lo azota repetidamente contra la pista, ¡jaja! Hay que estar en plena forma física para poder correr por toda la cancha; salvo por una dejada que Mitch ejecutó al principio, logré llegar a todas las bolas. ¡Vamos!, como dice Alcaraz. 💪🏾 La edad es solo un número; estoy en mejor forma que muchos adolescentes y veinteañeros.

Played singles tennis which is brutal against Mitch who has this excellent serve ,I was leading 4-0 but tennis is a brutal sport one loose service game ( I served terrible with multiple double faults which I hardly make ) but after helping Scotty move carrying heavy furniture ,my shoulder hurts won the tie breaker 7-6 (7-2) and then we played a ten point tie-breaker 10-2 . Tennis singles is brutal ,it takes the human and whips it repeatedly against the court ,haha one has to be in shape to run all around court ,except for one drop shot that Mitch hit at the start ,I ran and got to every ball . Vamos as Alcaraz says .💪🏾 Age is just a number ,fitter than teenagers and 20 yo.

I played singles with Mike Repking to quote another tennis friend , Travis Odom who played at TX State level and has played against Mike and of course beaten him , he said Mike is an underrated lethal player . He is one of the few players whose back hand is better than his forehand and has an excellent net game , see how tall he his. I lost the first set 2-6 but Mike I think has a new found respect for me ,he's 40 ,13 years younger than me and every game went to deuce meaning hard fought games except the first and the last which I lost & he won easily . Which is why after two hours of play we just played only a set and a half , crazy 💪🏽😜

My right shoulder was hurting yet I still played after taking pain killers which I don't normally do and am against yet I was literally screaming to alleviate haha as I hit my forehand . I got to every drop shot of his with ease , lobs he hit against me to keep the points going and made him run and go out of breath .

Tennis singles is a brutal sport . It takes your body and whips it against the court , not once ,twice , but repeatedly ha,ha ha 😜🤷🏾 Second set we tied 3-3 we had long drawn games when I stopped as I had to return home to make some work calls. Even Mike said ,it was a lot of fun. Vamos as Alcaraz says. Mike admired my mental toughness & strategy , tennis IQ like my mentor Djokovic 💪🏾

Kaden is an extremely good player , better than me for sure ,I just got lucky . Both of us didn't play our best game.

I think this kid has a new found respect for me ,how I hung on hitting groundstrokes , hitting the ball hard back & forth , serve & return of serve .

Age is just a number , Edad es solo un número .

I finally beat a KHS varsity # 3 kid , a lefty ,16 yo Aiden Griffen we just played 1.25 hours 6-4, none of us could hold serve until I did at the very last game . I nearly did after breaking and serving 40-15 4-3 , but muffed two shots ,double faulted once as I couldn't hit weak serves . He has a weak second serve .

You can't drop shot these kids as they're so fast but hit deep shots. I realized like you ,if you hit hard shots he smacked them so took the pace off, just so much ,he started hitting the ball out . Vamos 💪🏾as Alcaraz says.

This kid , he's my daughter's age , lefty he came out swinging hitting winners from the back of the court intimidation . But still broke every game of his . He couldn't hit a first serve last few games since I'm the Djokovic of the country club 💪🏽

Yours truly ,Nicholas Ellis , I've been playing with this kid since he was 15 , he's a very ,very very good tennis player and I was a chump player then with a horrible serve . I just realized he's my son's age haha . Nick played at TX State level tennis ,is super fit I lost obviously ; 0-6, but second set played better 3-6 ,I nearly made it 4-6 , I was serving 40-30 on my serve . Nick hits these amazing top spin shots like the pros ,it took getting used to . I'd hit these amazing hard shots and Nick would swot them away hitting winners from the back of the court . Incredible . The good thing is ,Nick noticed my serve had improved and like Djokovic my guru my return of serve was lethal . 💪🏾🙏🏾 Playing a very good tennis player like Nick is like wrestling and getting suffocated by an anaconda in its vice-like grip . You're slowly getting your breath choked away since it's tennis singles you're being moved around the court and also hitting the ball hard ,running . You get out of breath 😜🤣🤷🏾. I stood panting using my racquet as a prop after rallies , Mon Dieu ( Deus mio)💪🏾

Tennis singles against a 19 yo kid yet beat him 6-1,6-3 second set was a battle ;Call me for tennis lessons 512-466-6111 HKA area

Yours truly , Noel Contreras he's just a teenager , not even 20 God damn Jimmy , and he's getting better . I'm old enough to be his Dad let's say that , we were supposed to play on Tue but I chose Joe as he's the better player than Noel believe it or not . Joe is very consistent . Noel has the best back hand slice ,it's fire . I came early again the practice my serves against Larry . First set I won easy 6-1 , second set 3rd game I was serving leading 2-1 and it was a hard fought battle . The game probably went for 15 min , maybe 8-10 deuces, advantage in my favor ,Noel would win . I finally held my serve 3-1. Noel served next , held easy, I had a very bad return game I played or muffed easy returns out It. became 3-2 then 4-2 ,the games see-saw , 4-3, I finally break him at to go ahead and serve the match out at 5-3 winning 6-3 It close as I was serving 40-15 and Noel hits a crazy return that I hit to the net . After some points I stood panting using the racquet as a walking stick /prop ( as Im hitting the ball hard too and running) as tennis singles is taking the body and whipping it repeatedly against the court.
