Let me spill some tea. I am pleased to announce that Mama Llama Tea Company is expanding its operations to Mama Llama Studios. Currently, I am working diligently to establish a greenhouse and studio, which will serve as a venue for various photoshoot opportunities and tea parties. This concept was born out of my husband's shop, where photographers would frequently rent vehicles for photoshoots and use our property as a backdrop. Consequently, I was able to acquire high-quality photographs of my children without incurring any costs. As time progressed, this has transformed into an all-consuming passion, fueled by my commitment to empowering women and helping them regain their confidence. In my capacity as a brand ambassador for Tiffany Daniel Wanja Studios, I remain dedicated to this endeavor. Tiffany Daniel Wanja

Today marks the one-year anniversary of my life-changing work accident. I am still fighting and advocating for myself. I was exposed to a nasty chemical that created so many health complications. It cost me almost everything. I live with debilitating pain in my hands, suffered months of nonstop bleeding, and underwent a partial hysterectomy. From this, my marriage broke down, I was let go from my job, lost insurance, stable income, and savings. I have lost almost 140 lbs too. I had to go through all this with very few knowing what was going on. I had to go through all this to become this new version of me. Through my various therapies, I have found ways to cope and learned to let go. Although I have limitations to my hands, I was able to teach our three shop apprentices how to pinstripe this week. It was one of my proudest moments to see their confidence grow before my eyes. To be vulnerable and empower others. I have met some amazing Boss Babes who have my undying admiration and support. This is why I also became a brand ambassador and bo***ir model. I never could have imagined what my life would become; I am grateful for this journey. Justin and I were interviewed today for a VW podcast where, for the first time, we talked about everything that has happened. I will share it when it comes out.

Oh my goodness, who is ready for a good cup of tea? ☕ It's been so busy lately that I haven't been posting about the realness of the chaos in my life. Luckily, y'all will get to hear about everything pretty soon! I will say calendula has saved my skin lately. It's like the best friend you can call when you need "muscle," someone you call when you're gonna do some sketchy stuff. I definitely needed some recently after getting eaten up by chiggers last weekend! 😫

I think that if you are a tea person, you are required to be a plant person. I use my plants as a visual aid of my mental health. If my plants are sad and yellow I know I am not watering them but also not taking time for myself. I try to make it a habit to give them a bath once a week and over years of dead plants know which ones thrive with some neglect. I get so excited when I see them come back from near death and even sprout new growth. Mondays are for plant showers and sweet tea.

I had to have a partial hysterectomy a week ago. I had suffered months of bleeding after some chemical exposure. Just before surgery I was given some news that wrecked my existence. So much pain and uncertainty with so much at stake. Even the week leading up to surgery was hectic, literally having a Dr. appointment every day of the week. All my life I have had intuitions of things to come. One of dearest friend and mentor died from a complication from a simple foot surgery. I voiced my fears to my husband and lived each day as if it was my last. I asked family to have a "last supper" with me before the surgery just in case. I hugged my babies a little longer and snuggled a little harder. The first thing my husband said to me at recovery was that I had called it, more pale faced than usual. My Dr. informed him that I was under anesthesia longer because they had to rebuild the entire anesthesia machine during surgery. Something she had never experienced. Since then recovery has been manageable thanks to the help of my mom, husband, and family. Resting and healing my body is hard when I cannot control my mind. Physical pain is easy to endure because I have been in a constant state of pain for months. The emotional grief is what has kept my mind racing. Luckily I have enjoyed so many cups of teas, so much love, pouring over me and easing my worries away. I cannot say enough about chamomile tea, best tea for inflammation and to rid of all gas pains. Cinnamon tea for circulation and Bay Leaves for digestion. Those healing scents filled the entire home. This is the reason I started Mama Llama Tea Company in the first place. To heal our bodies, to quiet our minds, and to find natural organic alternatives for our babies. I know the holidays are upon us and we work so hard to take care of everyone else, but please take a minute to enjoy a cup of tea. Bring gratitude into your life and focus on what really matters. This was me post surgery cramming as many graham crackers into my mouth as I could, more than 24 hrs. without actually food.

Hurricane Beryl really put things in perspective. We were beyond grateful and fortunate to have entailed minimal damages compared to others. A strong family unity and amazing community made me feel confident we could take any storm in life. Although RV life for a week with 4 children was hectic, I will cherish all the memories. Catalina became a full walker in the RV. I know many are still without power, but to those who can and would want a nice cup of tea, message me. I am getting together a small token of love to anyone affected by the hurricane. I can ship or deliver some organic chamomile tea bags. The best tea to ease the stress. Safe for children. There are too many amazing health benefits to list. My new obsession is making tea popsicles to endure this heat.
