So, yesterday Russ helped me cater a 50th class reunion for Hudsonville High School class of 1976 (great party BTW!!). Afterwards we went to Legacy Winery & Spirits to celebrate my last official catering job.

I'm not sure what the future holds, although God does, but it felt right. Not without misgivings, but I think any step like this is accompanied by some type of doubt. Thanks to all who allowed me to serve them at graduations, weddings and parties of all types over the last few years!

We’ve been mixing, tasting, tweaking, and putting them to the fire. The results? Let’s just say you’ll want some room in the spice cabinet.

What a great day at Mitten Bash! 🔥

We had an awesome time serving up some Cajun food, talking BBQ, seeing a lot of familiar faces and meeting plenty of new ones. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by the Jack’s Blend tent, grabbed some food, talked rubs and seasonings, or just came over to say hello. We appreciate you!

And a big thank you to Mitten BBQ Supply for putting together another great event and continuing to support Michigan-made BBQ brands.

It was also great to see all our fellow vendors — Uncle Lumpy’s, Habanero Harman, Michigan BBQ Addicts, Charred Craft BBQ Sauces and Rubs, Sweet Rolls BBQ, Fire Hatch Rubs, and Swine Life BBQ! Always a good time hanging out with people who share the same passion for great BBQ.
