14 years ago, we opened our doors to the Hudson community. December 12, 2005 was Dough Boys first day of business and it’s been our honor and privilege to serve you. The relationships we’ve fostered over the past 14 years are ones we will always treasure, and it’s with a heavy heart that we have decided to culminate our Dough Boys journey and embark on our next great life adventure. We’ve been around long enough to have watched many of your children grow into young adults and have been fortunate enough to invite some of them into our Dough Boys family. We’ve also been blessed with our own children being born into this family and they’ve had the opportunity to foster relationships with many of our customers and staff.
Unfortunately, we’ve come to realize that as business owners, our first responsibility is no longer to Dough Boys, but it’s in giving our children the attention that we seem to be unable to. Balancing the demands of the business has never been an easy task, but it’s reached a point where we genuinely had to evaluate the legacy we want to leave. We’ve always been fighting for Dough Boys and its success since the day we’ve opened, and maybe we’ve been more sensitive to the incessant barrage of strains recently because we’re trying to balance the business with our parenting responsibilities, but the pushback on the business side seems to be ever increasing and there doesn’t appear to be a point at which the tide will subside.
After much deliberation over what would be the best path forward for both our business and family, it is with serious heartache and a world of sadness that we’ve decided to announce that Dough Boys Pizza will cease operations on Sunday, December 29th. I’ve tried to summarize what Dough Boys Pizza has meant to us so many times in writing this notification, and every time it ends up being a pages-long walk down the volumes of memories we’ve compiled in the last 14 years. The people who have inspired and supported us in our struggles and triumphs are countless and trying to list them all would no doubt be an injustice of unintentional omission, so instead we would just like to sincerely, unconditionally and completely thank the people of the Hudson community for being such an integral part of our lives these last 14 years and allowing us to be a part of yours as well.
