Hello all,
I know many people are hunting for local eggs, and I wanted to put a feeler out to see if people would be interested.

My family and I started raising chickens and ducks last year. Currently, they are in a fenced-in enclosure and heated coop. During the warmer months, they have access to free range around the yard.

We currently have six ducks producing eggs, and it would be a shame for those eggs to go to waste, we get about a dozen duck eggs every three days. If anyone is interested, please let me know. They range from large eggs to large. We have three different breeds of ducks.

Our chickens started producing more, and we have some chicken eggs available as well. In the future if you would like, we can provide washed or unwashed eggs (unwashed eggs have a longer shelf life).

We currently have:

1 dozen small duck eggs ($4)

1/2 dozen large duck eggs ($6)

3 dozen regular chicken eggs ($6)

1 dozen small chicken eggs ($4)

1 dozen large chickens eggs ($6)


Fun Facts:
Duck eggs contain high amounts of vitamin B12.
Duck eggs are great for baking. They make baked goods much richer and fluffier.
Duck eggs are not for everyone and contain large amounts of cholesterol.

Please send us a message and we will set them aside for pickup.

Welcome to Fresh Pickens! We are a small local homestead aiming to provide fresh and local products to our community and ourselves. We are located between Hudson and River Falls, WI.

We started homesteading in 2022, starting with 6 chickens, 2 ducks, and a small garden. We fell in love with providing for ourselves and expanded our flock. We now have many chickens and 6 ducks. Our flock is currently housed in a fenced-in area and heated coop. They have a fenced-in area, free range around the yard during the warmer months, and a large built pond.

Our ducks are now producing many eggs, and we would like to share them with our community. Once our newer chickens produce more, we will also share those.

We currently have fresh duck eggs available for sale.

$4 for a half dozen of small duck eggs
$6 for a half dozen of large duck eggs
